Acrylic Painting Class: "Nightfall"
Learn to paint an evening scene, set in the deep woods, with hints of fall in the air. You can adjust and add to your painting by adding fall/spooky details. Val will paint along with you to show techniques, color mixing, and brush strokes. All supplies included to complete your painting in class. Beginner to advance- all ages welcome. Wear your paint shirt but aprons are provided.
11 x 14 stretched canvas, brushes to borrow, paints to use during the class, water basin, aprons.
You may want to bring a paint shirt to protect your clothing.

DL Community Education: Oil Painting Class "Lake Sunset"
Have fun while learning to paint a beautiful sunset over water using Water Mixable oil paints: 16 x 20 stretched canvas. This low odor paint- NO turpentine or solvent. Val will paint along showing step by step methods on mixing, using different brushes and techniques to create a beautiful painting. All supplies included. Aprons provided, but a paint shirt is recommended.
Must pre-register with Detroit Lakes Community Education to hold your place.
Engage Watercolor Painting Cards
Learn tips and techniques for watercolor painting. Paint along with Val and create 3 water color cards.
All supplies included. Sign up at the front desk DLCCC.

The Historic Holmes Theatre will be hosting a Poler Fest art show in the Foltz trucking lounge from February 10th to the 22nd. These are dazzling examples of art done by local members of our Holmes Artist Collective. Works will be for sale, and there will be a closing reception on February 22nd. Gallery hours are as follows: Monday-Friday open 9am-5pm Saturday-Sunday open 1pm-8pm Closing reception on February 22nd is from 1-2:30 in the Foltz trucking lounge.
